Do you need help choosing and applying to the right college or k-12 school?
Crimson Coaching’s own Founder and President, Dr. Dominique Padurano, assists families in finding the right academic setting for their children. As a college counselor and independent educational consultant, she starts by conducting an hour-long video conversation with a student and their parent(s). After gauging their needs and preferences, Dr. P. shares a first-draft list with families, who have two rounds of vetoes as the team of parent-student-counselor work to construct the perfect school or college list.
Crimson Coaching provides strategic counseling and Administrative applications assistance
Which are the right courses to take in middle and high school? Which extracurricular activities can make a student’s application shine? Should they take standardized tests? Which one? When? Parents have so many questions as their children enter high school. Unfortunately, the average American guidance counselor oversees 385 students. Dr. P. provides the individualized, expert college counseling that most families need and that every family deserves.
As their children prepare to enter schools on another continent or in another country, international families sometimes require a higher level of counseling and administrative assistance. Crimson Coaching can schedule campus visits, interviews and tests; liaise with current and former schools to procure transcripts and letters of recommendation; and assist with the administrative aspects of school and college applications. Clients can focus on the move while Crimson Coaching attends to all the details of their children’s transition to a new school.
Dr. P. offers multilingual academic tutoring and cross-cultural coaching
Some families benefit from tutoring or coaching to help ease the transition to the United States. Our founder, Dr. Padurano, can tutor most academic subjects in French, Spanish or English while students get used to their new school and, potentially, learning in a new language. Moreover, she can provide spouses with English instruction geared to new cultural and social contexts, such as interacting with other adults in the new school community. Dr. P.’s extensive linguistic skills and teaching background can help any family fit in quickly to their new school community.
